Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do you offer tastings? A: Yes we do offer consultations for you and your guests. We can accomodate several guests, but we do require an advanced reservation. We will brainstorm with you and your guests about your cake. We suggest the you bring color swatches, pieces of fabric, invitations and anything else that may help us create your dream cake.
Q: Do you require a deposit on the cakes? A: Yes we do require a 50% deposit on all cakes. Your cake must also be paid in full a minimum of fourteen (14) days before your event. If it is not paid in full before the fourteen (14) days, your contract can be cancelled.
Q:Do you ship your cakes? A: Sorry we do not ship our cakes at this time. We will deliver the cake to your event for a delivery charge. Out of state deliveries can be worked out as well.
Q: What are the prices of your cakes? A: Our cakes range in price. Our prices vary depending on the type of cake and amount of detail needed on the cake.
Q: How far in advance should we contact you? A: We require a minimum of one month advanced notice for each cake. Custom carved cakes require 45 day notice. For weddings we suggest that you notify us 6 months in advance or more.
Q: What type of icing do you use for your cakes? A: We use fondant for most of our cake and all of our custom carved cakes. We love the flawless, porcelain finish it gives to the exterior of our cakes. It also seals the cake and helps to keep it very moist on the inside. It also adds strength to the exterior of the cake in a way that makes it easier to handle, transport, and most importantly, decorate. Many of the decorations you see are sculpted or cut out of fondant and can be held in place very firmly even under stressful transportation or weather conditions. At the time the cakes are served the fondant can be cut with the cake and easily removed by anyone not wishing to eat it.
Q: Do you make sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan cakes?
A: Sorry, but at this time we do not make any cakes that are sugar-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan. Unfortunately, we also are unable to accomodate anyone with strict nut allergies. Allergies can be very serious and we use products (chocolate, flour, etc...) that are manufactured around nut products.
